Robin Vondrak has always had a passion for traveling. That passion is what first intrigued Robin to develop his photography skills so that he could truly capture his adventures and share his experiences with others.
Being a full time employee at Nucor Building Systems, in Swansea, SC, as a Drafter doesn’t allow much spare time, but Robin spent every minute he could self-teaching himself the Rules of Exposure, Flash Photography, and Lighting Techniques. That diligence paid off, presently, Robin still finds enough time in the day to better him at what started as a hobby and now has become another full time job.
While planning his wedding and honeymoon in Greece and the surrounding Greek Isles, Robin was inspired to take his passion to the next level. “That setting was beautiful and those photos were my turning point.” After much encouragement from friends and family to take his talents and passion and start up his own business, early in 2005- Robin Vondrak Photography was born.
Robin enjoys working with Riverbanks Zoo and Garden as the Event Photographer and since the birth of his daughter, Ansley in May of 2008, has really discovered the benefit of his talents. "Capturing all of her firsts is so important and so rewarding to look back on. "

Robin lives a very full life, working fulltime at Nucor, owning his own photography business, mountain biking, backpacking, snow skiing, traveling and spending time with his wife Christie, baby daughter Ansley and their dog Riley. “The ultimate aspiration would be to be able to travel all over the world with my family and take photos all over the world.”
Robin feels very blessed for all that he has and knows that anything is possible when you put your mind to it and have determination. He is living proof, what started as a passion and a hobby has now become his dream for his future.
